Hello Church,
I wanted to take a moment to connect with you in regards to the current pandemic situation and the updates provided by Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer. In moments like these, I am reminded of 2 Timothy 1.7: “God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
In the face of uncertainty, we have a confident hope in Jesus.
In light of the currently unfolding situation regarding COVID-19, I wanted to share with you our plan for this weekend.
We are actively monitoring this rapidly evolving situation and are regularly consulting with city and provincial officials, in addition to consulting with health care professionals.
As you know, we’re in a situation none of us have been in before and things are changing day by day. We’ve seen other churches decide to not gather this weekend. Others have decided to stay open. And both are options.
We have decided to move all of our services online and we will not be gathering at our locations this Sunday. We will continue with our services this weekend through ONLINE ONLY Broadcasts, here’s how it will work:
Join us online on Sunday for our Special SUNDAY SERVICE BROADCAST at 11am MST right here on our Website or through Facebook
We pray His promise of peace and protection over you and your family. We follow Jesus one step and a time and we stand on His Word.
Hebrews 6 says that “we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.”
And we declare Psalm 91: “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.”
Scriptures also encourages us to be wise… that does not mean we are fearful. We look forward to an amazing time in the presence of Jesus, from home to home and from place to place. I would like to encourage you to invite friends or family over, host a watch party, and lift up the name of Jesus.
We will continue to consult and monitor the most up to date advisories from Alberta Health and Health Canada, and will make ongoing adjustments as required.
Blessings,
Pastor Brett Esslinger
